Marry Me Blondies - Butterscotch Pecan

Rustic. Gooey. Caramel-rich.
A rustic, caramel-rich butterscotch blondie that won’t win a beauty pageant…
…but might just win somebody’s heart.
Soft in the centre, crackly on top, perfectly chewy around the edges, this heirloom-style blondie is made with fresh-milled whole grain flour, browned butter, and just the right touch of baking soda to bring back that deep, nostalgic butterscotch flavour.
This recipe carries a little piece of our family history. Our original recipe card was loved so much it eventually wore out… and disappeared. Years later, in a moment straight out of a Friends episode where the “secret family recipe” turns out to be printed on the back of a package, I found one that came close.
Close… but not quite.
It took me a long time to figure out, but the missing magic?
A teaspoon of baking soda.
Once I paired that little discovery with fresh-milled whole grain flour, browned butter, and thoughtfully chosen ingredients, the blondie from my childhood finally came back to life.
Naturally higher in fibre and protein from fresh-milled whole grains, these blondies prove that comfort food can start with better ingredients.
Rustic. Gooey. Caramel-forward.
Perfectly imperfect… and unforgettable.
No preservatives. No enrichments. Just fresh-milled flour, thoughtfully chosen ingredients, and a blondie worth falling in love with.
